Clear Data · a Clear Harness business line

Would $500,000–$4 million make a difference to your business?

An illustrative range for qualifying businesses. Not an offer, not a typical result, and not a guaranteed payout.

Established businesses sit on years of operational records: the tickets, threads, estimates and system history that show how real work gets done. AI developers need exactly that. Clear Data helps you find out, privately and without obligation, whether yours could be licensed.

In plain terms

You license data you already have. You keep the business.

Licensing, not selling the company
Eligible existing operational data is licensed under a written agreement.
Non-dilutive
No loan to repay. No equity sold. No investor on your cap table.
Reviewed before anything moves
Scope, permissions, preparation and pricing are settled before any records transfer.
Specialist privacy review
Independent de-identification, plus controlled environments where agreed.

Who you would be dealing with

One accountable company, one clear path.

Parent company

Clear Harness, Inc.

An Ohio company whose core business is hardware: an appliance that lets small businesses control what AI agents can see and do.

Business line

Clear Data

Helps qualifying businesses license operational data, from one-time historical sets to ongoing and real-time training data streams through agreed integrations.

Initiative

Ohio Training Data

A Clear Harness project and privately operated Ohio economic development initiative. It continues educating owners about the AI training-data market and gives Ohio businesses a clean on-ramp to participating. It is not a government agency, and this is not a grant program.

All commercial introductions are made through Clear Harness. We have established partnerships with leading AI training-data companies and direct relationships with frontier AI labs.

What qualifying data can look like

Ordinary records from a well-run business.

  • 01
Service and field records. Work orders, dispatch notes, inspection photos, repair histories.
  • 02
Customer conversations. Support tickets, email threads, call notes and recordings where consent allows.
  • 03
Operating documents. Estimates, invoices, contracts, SOPs, quality checklists.
  • 04
System activity. CRM, ERP, scheduling and inventory history that shows how work actually gets done.

Volume alone is rarely the point. Buyers look for connected, consistent records that show decisions and outcomes.

How arrangements are structured

Three shapes, agreed case by case.

Historical license

A defined set of past records, prepared and reviewed once, licensed for agreed uses.

Ongoing or API access

Continuing or real-time streams, developed through integrations you approve. Not every supplier is set up this way.

Specialized opportunities

Narrow, domain-specific requests from buyers looking for particular kinds of work.

What happens next

Three steps, with review before transfer.

  1. Get an estimate

Start with an overview of your business, systems and records.

  2. Fast-track review

We review scope, permissions and preparation with you. A fast-track review may lead to a formal offer.

  3. Signed agreement

Terms, privacy handling and payment timing are written down and signed before any records transfer.

Questions owners ask

Straight answers.

Is this a loan, a grant or an investment?

None of those. It is a commercial license of eligible data your business already has. You do not take on debt and you do not sell equity. Ohio Training Data is a privately operated economic development initiative; it is not a government agency and this is not a grant.

What does the $500,000–$4 million range mean?

It is an illustrative range for qualifying businesses, meant to show the scale some arrangements can reach. It is not an offer, not a typical result and not a guaranteed payout. Many businesses will not qualify, and values depend on what buyers find in review.

Does any of my data leave before I agree?

No. Scope, permissions, preparation and pricing are reviewed before any records transfer. Nothing moves until there is a signed agreement that says what moves, to whom, and on what terms.

How is privacy handled?

An independent privacy specialist reviews the data and applies de-identification suited to it. Where agreed, buyers work inside controlled environments. We will not tell you every dataset can be made fully anonymous, or that every engagement runs in a clean room; the review decides what is appropriate.

How fast does it move, and when am I paid?

A fast-track review may lead to a formal offer. Payment timing is set out in the signed agreement. We do not promise payment within a set number of days.

Who are the buyers?

Clear Harness has established partnerships with leading AI training-data companies and direct relationships with frontier AI labs. All commercial introductions run through Clear Harness.

Is my data worth more because it is unique?

Pricing comes from buyer review of scope, quality, permissions and fit. We do not add a valuation bonus for uniqueness, though genuinely specialized data may open specialized opportunities.
